We are passionate about every member of your family being taught the Word of God at their level.  As such, we have various family ministries to help serve you.

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry  “The Pond”

 Dear Parents,

We love children!  Children bring life, joy and excitement wherever they go…and sometimes a little chaos too!  No matter the state of your child today, we are excited to welcome you and your child to our church.  We know that children are not just the future of our church, but they ARE the church.  We get so excited as we see the potential of all that God has in store for your little ones!

We hope your experience today will be a good one.  This guide is here to help you better understand the class that is ministering to your child.  We not only believe but have seen firsthand that God can move and minister in your child’s classroom.  Our hope is that not only you leave today different than when you came in but also that your child has a real encounter with our Savior, Jesus Christ.  If this is your first time to Living Word, I wish to welcome you and your child here.  If you are already a member of a church, then please see us as your home away from home today.  I pray that you and your child leave refreshed and filled with God’s love!

Sondra Cross, Children’s Ministry Director

Important Information for all parents attending –

  • Children’s Classrooms are located downstairs.
  • Children must be registered to attend class.  This can be done at the Welcome Center when you first arrive or can be done when children are dismissed following worship.  You can also click HERE to pre-register your child.
  • Nursery (Guppies) is open before service at 10:20.  All other classes begin when children are corporately prayed over and dismissed following worship.  You are welcome to accompany your child downstairs to class if you would like or our anointed and capable children’s workers will help your child to their class (if they have been previously registered).
  • After service is complete, please head downstairs to pick up your child.  You will need the parent portion of your child’s name tag to pick up your child.  Our workers will be at the registration desk to help assist you.

Parent Room

Located at the back of our sanctuary, there is a special nursing and cry room for parent’s conveniences.  If your little one is too young to leave in a class downstairs or is having a hard day or maybe even fighting sickness, you are welcome to sit in our parent’s room where you can still watch and hear the service.  Located on the far end of the room is a separate spot for nursing mothers to use.  Here you can find a changing table and supplies for your convenience.

Guppies, Birth – 2 years

In our Nursery, your child will be nurtured, fed and changed.  This includes children’s songs, book reading, plenty of toys to play with and an area where they can rest.  If old enough, your child will receive a snack as well.  Please be sure to let our workers know if your child has any food allergies.

Tadpoles, Potty-Trained – Preschool

Your child will have a time of worship, a small snack, a story time and time to play with toys and with the other children in the class.

Dragonflies, Kindergarten – 1st Grade

Your child will not only learn God’s Word but also be taught a memory verse every other Sunday.  This will give your child ample opportunity to not only learn, but to take God’s Word to heart.  A snack will be provided and there is also handwriting practice for your young, eager-to-learn child.

Snappers, 2nd Grade – 6th Grade

Your child will learn about God, plus have a chance to play games, read their Bible and pray out loud.  The class includes games, Bible lessons, object lessons and music.

Adroit Youth

Adroit Youth

Wednesdays 7-8:30 pm

Brandon and Kelli are our Youth Leaders who work along with their team weekly on Wednesday evenings and Saturday evenings ministering to our youth.  They have an explosive youth program seeking to impact lives through the ministry touch of God. Our aim is to equip young people to be able to beat the pressures of this day and age by teaching them Biblical principals and helping them to grow in a real relationship with God.
