Who we are

Who we are, Our Pastor, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Living Word Muskegon is an Apostolic and Prophetic ministry and a Gate of Heaven in Muskegon County. We are filled with God's Spirit and passionately love God and each other. We work with other ministries to affect the spiritual atmosphere of our region, so God's will is done here on earth as it is in heaven. Reaching out locally and internationally, we fulfill the Great Commission and help those God sends us to find their unique place and ministry.

Simply put, we:

Honor GOD

Love People

Reach the World

So miracles happen and lives are changed.

Our Pastors

Pastor Tim and Sondra Cross

Pastor Tim has been married to his wife Sondra since 1981. They have 7 children, all of whom are serving the Lord, as well as 11 grandchildren. Tim Cross is the founding and senior pastor here at Living Word Muskegon. He is a graduate of Supernatural Ministries Training Institute in Midland, MI. His pastor is Mark T. Barclay. Besides pastoring, Pastor Tim has done extensive work in prisons, on television and in missions. He has traveled to almost 20 different nations ministering the gospel. He is heavily involved in Men’s Ministry, both in the USA and around the world. He has and continues to spearhead local outreach programs to help our community. Over the years of ministering in one city, he has found great favor as a spiritual ambassador to political and civic officials in the Muskegon area. Pastor Tim is recognized as a leader in his community among the churches, as he has headed up ministerial and prayer organizations in the area, helping to foster unity and transformation. Tim is known for his boldness, excellence, innovation and leadership.

Where we come from

Living Word Muskegon started as a church plant Bible Study in 1985. It was a product of the Word of Faith charismatic movement. As the church has evolved over the years, we are still a Full Gospel church, which means that we believe that the supernatural move of God via miracles, signs and wonders is not just part of the Bible but that it is still part of our lives today. We believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. We believe in expressing our love and devotion to God through praise and worship. We believe in coming together as a body of believers to hear the Word of God preached.

Where we're headed

What's the bottom line? More than ever, Living Word Church is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
